R. Vidra, MD, PhD, consultant at Regional Institute of Gastroenterology and Hepatology “Prof. Dr. Octavian Fodor”, graduated from University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Iuliu Hatieganu” Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 2002. Since early of his career was focused on breast cancer research and, recently he is focused in gastrointestinal cancers. Currently, he is senior medical oncologist at Oncology Department from Regional Institute of Gastroenterology and Hepatology “Prof. Dr. Octavian Fodor” Cluj-Napoca, and gr.III Scientific Researcher – UBBMed department of Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. He is principal investigator in several clinical trials in upper GI Cancer. He is member of European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), former member in Young Oncologist Committee and, currently ESMO Educational Committee, with active role as Chair of the ESMO-Practising Oncologist Working Group.
