Ljiljana Stamatovic, MD, PhD, is senior medical oncologist at the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia, specializing in breast and gynecological cancer research and treatment. Currently she serves as the Head of Medical Oncology Department for breast cancer. Dr Stamatovic participates in the regular (on every-day basis) and expert committees for breast and gynecological cancers. Her research interests include targeted and investigational therapeutics in the treatment of breast and gynecological tumors. She was invited lecturer on ESO and ESMO courses and many national oncology meetings with international participation. She participated in the development of national Clinical Practice Guidelines for breast, cervical and ovarian cancer, under the guidance of Ministry of Health of Serbia. She has contributed to more than 120 publications, of which 45 are peer-reviewed, and also is an author of several chapters in national monographs.
