Gabor Liposits (1982) is a clinical oncologist working as a senior consultant at the Department of Oncology, Gødstrup Hospital in Denmark. He is leading the GI oncology section and the clinical research unit. He is also affiliated with Odense University Hospital and the University of Southern Denmark due to his PhD project investigating different aspects of palliative chemotherapy in older adults with metastatic colorectal cancer.  He earned his medical degree from the University of Pecs in Hungary (2006) and completed his training in clinical oncology (2011). Later he became board certificated clinical oncologist in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden and worked in Nordic countries since 2012 and gained broad experience in the treatment of several types of malignancies. He earned the certification in medical oncology by European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) in 2015 and participated at the SIOG Advanced Course in Treviso in 2017. He currently serves as a member of several SIOG working groups, the ESMO Practising Oncologists and Designated Centers working groups, and EORTC groups. He was appointed as associate editor of Journal of Geriatric Oncology and serves the editorial board at BMC Cancer.  His areas of interest besides geriatric oncology are patient-centered care, patient-reported outcomes measures (PROMs), gastrointestinal malignancies, nutrition, supportive and palliative care, and clinical research.
