Dr. Emir Sokolović is a Medical Oncology resident currently serving at the Clinic of Oncology, Clinical Center University of Sarajevo. He was born on March 27, 1994.
He completed his medical education at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, graduating as the best graduate student and was awarded the Silver Badge Award by the University of Sarajevo.
He is currently pursuing his PhD studies at the same institution. Throughout his career, Dr. Sokolović has actively sought opportunities to enhance his knowledge and skills in oncology.
He has participated in various prestigious fellowships and courses, including the College of the European School of Oncology Mentorship Programme under the guidance of Professor Matteo Lambertini and the ESDO fellowship at the Biomedical Research Institute INCLIVA and University Hospital of Valencia under the mentorship of Professor Andres Cervantes. He has authored several publications in esteemed journals, covering a wide range of topics in oncology, including breast cancer, melanoma, and gastrointestinal malignancies.
His achievements have been recognized with several awards, including the Award for Best Clinical Case Presentation during the ESO Masterclass in Clinical Oncology and the Honorary Award of the Association of Oncologists in Bosnia and Herzegovina, “Prof. dr. Hiba Bašić.
